Thank God It’s Saturday!
I used to be a very take notes, read books typa person. I used a lot of post-it notes with different sizes of notebooks for different things – work, study, journal, dreams…
Nowadays, I rely heavily on my phone to get me through the day. I’m not yet certain if this is a good or bad thing. However, I have come to appreciate the FREE applications that rule my day. (I paid for an app once. I still feel sad when I think about the money I spent on a game. I’ll let it go… soon)
If I snooze this alarm till 5:30, I switch to the Music App and look for my fastest pick me up Playlist. Kukuma cannot afford to miss the bus.
6:00 – Alarm again. Need to rush to the bus stop to get on the staff bus.
6:30 – YouVersion Bible App. Yes, I prayed when I woke up but I haven’t done my Bible Study yet. I like doing this on the bus. My Plan reminders are set for 6:30am and I really like the extensive topics that are covered on this plan. Your plan activities can be private or public, depending on what you like. Get it on iOS here or
It usually takes about 10 minutes to finish up the games. You can also measure the progress of your development.
7:00am – Penzu
The second notification I get at 7am is from Penzu – a free online Journal. I want to document my life + Penzu wants me to document my life = Use Penzu. It is literally the best free journal app ever! You can password your journal, search through your entries… I like Penzu. A lot. Get it on iOs or Android. An added benefit is that you can access Penzu from the web at any time. Tip: Remember your password.
7:15 – Google Calendar
Hopefully, I have no pressing pending items… However, I have to remember meetings, birthdays etc I use the Google Calendar just because. It syncs all my calendars – Work, Life, Play and gives me an overview of my day. You can also try out Sunrise – It is cool, but I am really comfortable with Google Calendar.
So, I have successfully pretended like my day does not actually begin with a few hours spent on Social Media. Twitter, IG, YouTube cannot compare to the time I spend on Bloglovin’.
Bloglovin’ is the app that I use to oversee all my favourite blogs. My only challenge is that I don’t like notifications. So, I keep having backlog of nearly 480 unread posts. However, I recommend Bloglovin. Get the app – use the linked image below. You can also follow me here.
My favourite game is only available for iOs, but I love it. I swear, I desperately feel like I am a detective when I am playing this game. I like to believe it makes me more conscious of my environment and where I put things. I have not tested this theory yet, but feel free to download Hidden Objects: Mystery Crimes
So, a roll call of the apps I listed here:
- YouVersion Bible App
- Google Calendar
- Hidden Objects: Mystery Crimes
Okay, let’s make do with 7 for now.
