Back on the Alaroro-Friendly recommendations – I’m really excited to share things that I’ve bought/been given that I’ve tested and I can share feedback with you. For today’s post, we’re looking at an eyeshadow palette that just might be the most affordable I have ever had…
Today’s product is the Beauty Treats 88 Professional Palette! At N5000 for 88 eyeshadows, that’s N57+ per shadow. Definitely high on the affordability spectrum!
The Product description as available on the Beauty Treats website – 88 Professional Eye Palette – is:
- Wide array of 88 eyeshadow colors in warm tones and cool tones – true!
- Highly pigmented shades that can also be applied wet for a deeper longer lasting effect – ohhh, wet… right!
- Eyeshadow colors for women of all ages and backgrounds – uhm, duh?
- A wide range of colors perfect for traveling and storing
When you open the pack, the palette is covered in bubble wrap. Open the palette and you see a small mirror, two throwback eyespongebrushthingies and your 88 colours!
My first thought when I saw this palette was – who uses 88 colours fogossake?
Since I started using this palette – I’ve used only about 20 colours, but I have to admit that it encourages me to try new things! The beautiful thing about having a darker eye color is that every colour on the wheel compliments your eyes!
My Experience with this Palette
The eyeshadows differ in pigmentation and as such, some are really pale and you keep piling on product. Ugh. The glittery shadows are not as shiny as I expected, but there are a few that are really popping. It’s less expensive than what you’d normally find on the market and you MAY have to compensate a lot!
For the best experience with this palette, you NEED
- an eyeshadow base/primer,
- quality eye brushes,
- and a healthy dose of patience.
I recommend this eyeshadow palette, guys. Especially if you are learning, it’s a good mix of colours to practice with – the entire rainbow and necessary neutrals! What else do you need?
Still on this topic – Influencer Marketing works, guys! I remember why I bought this eyeshadow: MoCheddah! Yeah, she had a live makeup tutorial on Instagram months ago and she mentioned that she had purchased this eyeshadow palette from Alhaja’s Cosmetics Gallery on Fola Osibo! I made a mental note to swing by the store.
So, a huge thank you to bloggers, vloggers, instafam who share their new finds/discoveries and help us save a few coins! Shout out to you all!
What do you think? Will you try this eyeshadow? Do you know better quality affordable eyeshadows or do we have to splurge?
Let me know in the comments!
Love and Light,
