Do you love yourself?
Yesterday made it exactly 3 months since my last post here! I have missed my zone and you all! Happy to say – The Alaroro is
Hello, Hello, Happy New Year.
I am very to be back here and I recognize the huge huge huge achievement this is for me. Story time? Soon! To kick off the year on TheAlaroro Blog, I decided to borrow this list of awards from Neil Hughes as shared on my new fav website: PuttyLike!
Before we dive into 2018 – this is a fun recap of my 2017 and I hope you enjoy it. Tell me, tell me. Pick one, five or ten awards and share your answers with me in the Comment Section.
This post is dedicated to my sister – the moon.
In the spirit of Halloween, dressing up and pretending to be others, we’ll be discussing the Impostor Syndrome today.
“is a concept describing individuals who are marked by an inability to internalize their accomplishments and a persistent fear of being exposed as a “fraud”. The term was coined in 1978 by clinical psychologists Pauline R. Clance and Suzanne A. Imes. Despite external evidence of their competence, those exhibiting the syndrome remain convinced that they are frauds and do not deserve the success they have achieved“
(Impostor syndrome. (2017, October 9). In Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia. Retrieved 13:24, October 30, 2017, from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Impostor_syndrome&oldid=804470881)
The Impostor Syndrome is the belief that your abilities are grossly exaggerated and that you actually do not deliver quality work (even when everyone who has worked with you says you do). It’s like you’re in a room full of Gucci and you swear you’re Gussi and it won’t take long for people to find out.
Hello You, *big hug*
Welcome to October!!!
I wish above all things that this month brings you fulfillment and joy! Walk with me as we take a recap of My September to Remember!
WARNING: This is the store that will finish all your money.
Have you ever been into a store that has all the cutest stuff you could ever think off? Introducing Miniso. No, this is not a sponsored post. It is just a confession of how this store caught me!
How’s it going? Really really, how’s it going?
This is one of those posts that come from deep feelings and questions about life.
Do you ever wake up and ask yourself questions like “why am I here?” “why do I go to work everyday?” “how do I know that this is for me?” “Is this my path?” “Wait, WTAF am I doing?”. First, I want to let you know that you are not alone *cue Michael Jackson*. No, seriously, you are not alone. Secondly, finding yourself is a process – many of us are winging it and even those who have discovered purpose will wake up on some mornings and question everything. Finally, it is okay to ask questions.
My name is Vivian AF and I want to talk to you today about worrying.
Hello Beautiful People,
It is your girl, Vivi – if you can tell me two people (I really like) who use this intro on YouTube, I owe you a gift! *huge grin*. Welcome to the blog today and I really hope you are having a beautiful day! By the time you’ll be reading this, I’ll be on a picnic with Husband Guy *another huge grin* and I will be sure to tell you guys all about it.
This is not why we are here today… We are here because of a Lady Lawyer who makes beautiful skincare products and I am so happy that she decided to share her hustle story with us. I mean, a lawyer with a side hustle… where does she get the time??? So, grab a cup of tea or a bottle of water and settle in to today’s interview with the founder and Chief Creator of Sherry Organics.
P.S. She’s so generous and there’s a giveaway at the bottom of this post!
Is it learned or learnt?
Well, I still think they are both right and that is not why I have gathered you today (huhuhuhu). In the Americas, the month of September is recognised as the National Sewing Month and it is so apt that I am finally able to share my Sewing experience with you all. So, sit back grab a cup of tea…
This is… how I learned to sew in one day!
