Alaroro Eyes on: The Maju Spring Edit

Welcome to March!
I sincerely apologise for the hiatus, but it has been an intense season for me. Wedding Planning is not a joke! At all! On to the post of the day, which I assumed had been published on Valentine’s day, but apparently not! *hot tears*

Do you really love me if you have not shopped Maju for me?! NO, you do not.
Maju recently released a new collection just in time for Valentine’s Day – The Spring Edit! This collection stays celebrating the diversity in femininity through clean silhouettes, frills, and on-trend spring colours and textures; velvet, silk and metallics.
Maju has collaborated with StyleMeAfrica, Good Hair Ltd and AnitaBrows Studio on The Spring Edit campaign featuring Amiola Aguda and Seyitan Atigarin of ‘Here and Now: The Adventures of TASA’ as muses of the month of February.
In the spirit of the season, I am starting this post off with my favs!

Alaroro Thoughts
As an Alaroro, you know my main concern is: HOW MUCH DOES ALL THIS COST? Wellllll, everything in this collection ranges from NGN 4,000 to NGN 18,000. Judging by the current exchange rate, the prices are actually decent. It’s just sad that it might not be so affordable in this climate.
These pieces from The Spring Edit and more are available for immediate purchase on www.shopmaju.com

Hello Guys,

Do you have that one clothing item that you have worn the life out of, but you never want to let go of it? My momma calls such items: One-Nation!

I bought this black dress in 2013 from ASOS and I have worn the life out of it. To work, church, parties, nights out, fell asleep in it… Mo ti l’owo mi pa ninu e.

For the Her Network Chats and Cocktails event, I pulled out this dress and realised that it was begging to be left alone (Lint Nation without a Lint Roller, cri wit mi).

I refused! -_-

Hello People!

#InHerWardrobe has missed you guys, have you missed #InHerWardrobe? If you don’t know what InHerWardrobe is, check here and here.

Well, we’re back and we are back in styleeeee (literally) featuring the awesome Deola Adebiyi. Deola is a content creator and all-round Media Girl. She is the Editor of OmogeMura (like, fine girl dress up! I love it) and I am excited to have her on the blog! So guys, sit back and let’s meet Deola

In Her Wardrobe(1)

My name is Deola Adebiyi and I am the editor of OmogeMuRa, a fashion and beauty blog based in Lagos, Nigeria.

My style is kind of all over the place. I’m a chameleon when it comes to style. Sometimes my style is goth, sometimes its girly, some days are casual, and some days I don’t care. My best friend describes my style as ‘Edgy punk girl with a hint of African flavour’!

As usual, we will be taking a walk into Deola’s wardrobe to find the following items:

The Necessity:

A black silk shirt. I have had this particular shirt for about 4 years and it makes me so very happy. I can dress it up for an event, dress it down for work; it works so well for everything.

Currently Cool:

I have a sheer jacket that kinda follows the cape/jacket trend. I think. loool.

Definitely You:

I have a pair of Jeffrey Campbell boots that define my style. Very punk rock and unique.

Key Accessory:

Sunglasses! I can’t do without a fab pair of sunnies…

Random… I love love the pictures from this swimsuit shoot!

Key Shoes:

Black court shoes. They make your outfit go from drab to fab!

There you have it, guys! Deola’s style is edgy chic and we are lovin’ it. I want those Jeffrey Campbell boots tho’… I think I cam stomp someone out with those. *giggle*

So, what do you like about Deola’s style? Tell us! Which of the above items can we find in your wardrobe?

You can connect with Deola via her Instagram, Twitter and you should totally subscribe to her website for fresh beauty, fashion and style content in Lagos, Nigeria. Don’t forget to subscribe to her YouTube channel.

Thank you, Deola for featuring  on TheAlaroro!

Cheers,
